LH Bottom Metal Notice: To keep prices down and be able to offer a LH option, we created a hybrid version of this bottom metal that takes a slightly different form factor than the OEM. There is a hybrid trigger pocket that is opened up substantially to try and allow for drop in fitment of Rem 700 pattern triggers and Anschutz native RH triggers. We cannot guarantee a drop in fit with all the variations, but it appears it should be a drop in both of these patterns. Anschutz native LH triggers will be tight and may require additional fitting. Please reach out if you have any questions or fitment issues.

OPTIONAL: “Install At Home Kit” - This kit is exactly what it means! The trouble with installing these buttplate assemblies is that they require a relatively precise hole in the back of the stock for the ~4” of length of pull adjustment. If you oversize or drill this hole crooked by using a hand drill, you can ruin your stock! This kit works in the following manner: 1. Install the Base plate to the stock. 2. Install the Drill Guide block to the base plate. 3. Using the included drill, tape a depth stop to the drill at 4” deep. 4. Carefully insert the drill in the guide block and use a drill to plunge the hole until the tape reached the guide block. 5. Remove the guide block and continue assembling the buttplate assembly.

This sling mount can be installed easily in about a minute without special tools or modifications to your firearm. All that is needed is a 7/64 allen wrench. This will work in the originally designed solid frame models and takedown models because the screw hole is tapped from both sides. Therefore, it will work with the solid frame singular long screw pictured or the takedown two short screw design as pictured. The same goes for Model 12 use. There is no other comparable designed plug on the market that is ready for all applications.
Note, for Trench Gun builds, you truly want to use one of these plugs compared to the standard takedown plug. This plug actually connects the mag tube to the heat shield, through the tip at the end of the plug and a recess in the back of the heat shield. This ensures a rigid alignment and support of the mag tube(results in a slicker action) and gives you the closest look to an authentic Trench Gun.
Expect light fitting of this piece or the mag tube for the screw install. You may need to egg out some of the magazine tube screw holes for perfect assembly. Also, the threads are tapped 8-32 like the standard screws, encase you need to perform thread repair.
***Model 12 Users - Some model 12 plug screws are 6-32 instead of 8-32. You will need to purchase Winchester 97 8-32 plug screws to use this plug. Both thread screw sizes have identical head dimensions and are compatible with the plug and your mag tube. Some model 12 users have also needed to dress the internal body of the plug down to fit in their mag tube.
