Improved design that retains full bolt body diameter engagement
The improved full-length bolt diameter design nearly doubles the strength of the wrench compared to a flat torquing surface design, giving you the best chance to remove the worst stubborn factory barrels. The production of action wrenches of this design is far more costly, but results in a wrench able to take abuse and withstand a lifetime of serious use.
Please Note: Tikka actions are known to be especially tight and may require a competent gunsmith to cut a stress-relieving slice on the factory barrel in front of the receiver. This tool will not harm your action around 175 Ft-lbs and can risk breaking around beyond 225 Ft-lbs. Please use good judgment - using this tool in a way that breaks it exceeds its design intent and can damage your action. We will not accept returns for broken tools and recommend that if a barrel does not come off around 125 Ft-lbs, you have a stress relief cut performed on the barrel. For factory barrel removal, we recommend using penetrating oil and heat before applying torque. Note: Only one wrench per purchase.
